Following an initial approach by the Nationwide Building Society and subsequent encouragement and initial support from Stokesley Town Council, NATIONWIDE Building Society is to run regular town hall drop-in sessions, to help with everything from online banking to financial support.
Representatives from the society will be at Stokesley Town Hall on a fortnightly basis. The initial sessions are on Tuesday, February 6 and Tuesday 20 February 2018 from noon to 3 pm - no appointment is needed.
The idea is to provide support to the town following the earlier closure of the HSBC branch in the town and the announcement that the local branches of Barclays and Natwest are to close later in the year.
The team from Nationwide will be on hand to provide new and existing members with help on online banking, information on paying bills, standing orders, new accounts and general financial support.
Nationwide stated: “In addition to this we are looking to tailor our offering to meet the requirements and needs of the local community.
