In addition to being members of the Parish Council councillors are also trustees of the Manorial Lands Trust (MLT) and the Town Hall Trust (THT). The two trusts were established as separate registered charities by the Parish Council in 1993 and 1963 respectively to manage the Manorial Lands and the Town Hall.
The Town Hall and the Manorial Lands were conveyed in trust to the Parish Council on 19 July 1919 in memory respectively of those from the Parish of Stokesley who fell in the Great War and the then late Lord of the Manor Edward Heneage Wynne Finch of the Manor House, Stokesley. The Parish Council and its successors were to hold the same for ever for the use and benefit of the said Township of Stokesley.
